THE BACKSTORY: WHO IS DANIEL?
Daniel was born with a baking ambition. As a child watching and helping his mum in the kitchen to a teenager helping his dad in the bakery.
Before school, Daniel’s job was to cook off croissant and danish he had trayed up the night before along with sugar coating and icing the donuts. He couldn’t wait for the weekend so he could make the donuts on his own.
He had a love for decorating donuts using different types of icings, lollies and so on. His thrill was to know that they had all sold out by the end of the night.
At the age of just 12 he was serving customers at the family bakery at Hogans Corner. Then, standing on a milk crate to use the cash register, not only did he love this job, but he would also have the opportunity to offer his decorated donuts. Some customers would even wait patiently just to wait to be served by Daniel himself.
