Understanding The Ambrosus Ecosystem
The Ambrosus Ecosystem is built around multiple components: The Ambrosus Blockchain and its accompanying nodes, an open-source set of tools for building dApps, a gateway for connecting the Ambrosus blockchain to other IT systems, and a number of proprietary IoT devices and edge-gateways.
AMB-CHAIN
The Ambrosus Blockchain is a public permissioned blockchain running on a proof of authority consensus mechanism. Two different classes of Nodes provide security and storage services on the network. Atlas Masternodes store bundles of data uploaded onto the network. Apollo Masternodes validate transactions hashed onto the Ambrosus blockchain.
AMB-GATE
A third class of Node, known as the Hermes Masternode, offers a gateway between the Ambrosus Network and the existing internet of information. Hermes Masternodes are self-deployable by enterprises, entrepreneurs, or developers, and provide off-chain data management and storage functionalities as well as a REST-API for integrating AMB-NET into legacy IT systems, with IoT devices, or other applications.
AMB-dapp
Decentralized applications can be built on the Ambrosus Network using Open-Source SDK’s available on the Ambrosus Github Page. In addition, other tools including AmberEx, Amb.to and AMB-DASH are all tools that can be used to manage bundles, interact on the network, and visualize assets and events on the blockchain.
