Opened in 1973, the Wayanad fauna Sanctuary is neighboring to the covered place grid of Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka on the North east and Mudumalai of Tamilnadu on the South east.
Ample in bio-diversity, the sanctuary is an inherent area of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, which has been initiate with the particular objective of conserving the biological patrimony of the area. The sanctuary is top rich in flora and fauna.
